For this reason, each new polarjet® device is equipped with a complete safety gear consisting of safety gloves, safety goggles, hearing protection and dust mask.

The personal protective equipment (PPE) ensures the necessary safety prior to and during dry ice cleaning. Operators of dry ice cleaning devices are recommended to wear the complete safety equipment including safety gloves, safety goggles and hearing protection. Depending on the type of work und contamination, it is also recommended to wear a dust mask with its corresponding specification (FFP 1-3). For detailed information on dust mask specifications, please visit the website of 3M:

Dry ice has a temperature of up to -78,5 °C. Skin contact may cause cold burns. It is recommended to wear safety gloves. Dry ice sublimates on the surface and momentarily forms a layer of gas preventing direct skin contact. However, if there is direct skin contact for a period of several seconds, the skin will cool down and the dry ice will damage the skin.

Due to deflected air flows and depending on the type of work, a noise level of more than 100 dB(A) may occur. The 3M Peltor hearing proctection supplied with our equipment will reduce the noise up to 26 dB(A).
